What was the highlight of Hotel Villa Venezia
A pleasant stay, but unlikely to be repeated in the Summer
Clean, comfortable room and bed, fine bathroom and shower, pleasant furniture, very abundant breakfast, kind staff, nice location downtown. 99% of guests are Austrian families, so the hotel is quiet.
1. The “view” from our room, which looked on the side of the hotel (3rd floor), was awful (neighbour building a few meters away, with people looking down on our windows): only concrete walls outside. For a couple of days in October, and for an “off-season rate”, it’s (almost) acceptable, but… in the summer? 2. The restaurant area cannot accommodate all the guests at the same time, so the hotel management asks you to decide your breakfast time on the previous day: 7.30, 8.30, or 9.30. If you are a bit early on your “slot”, you are not allowed to sit down anywhere, because the tables “belong” to specific guests. So, if “your table” is still busy at 8.20 from the previous “shift”, and a lot of other tables are EMPTY, but your slot is at 8.30, you CANNOT sit down for breakfast. We complained, so we were finally allowed to sit down at 8.20, but the staff underlined that some other guests had to be “moved” to a table that was not “their usual” table (because “their table” had been given to us). We thought it was a weird welcome. Ah! You anyway queue up for your cappuccino, as there is only one machine making latte or “large” warm drinks. 3. Free parking is in the streets, within walking distance, but at at least 500/600 mt from the hotel. No instructions were given on any other kind of Parking. 4. The Reception is not manned at night. Only Emergency phone numbers are supplied.

What was the highlight of Hotel Villa Venezia
Perfect location and brekfast, very kind and supportive staff.
The location is very good, the hotel is in the center of Grado, and the main beach is appr. 5 minutes’ walk. The breakfast is very-very good, the staff is really kind and helpful. I left my Apple watch in the room when we left the hotel and moved to Venice, but I could collect the watch at the hotel reception during on the way travelling back to our country two days later.

Pleasant, high-quality accommodation. Quiet room, excellent location. The breakfast is also adequate.
The beds were small for us, and the air conditioning was difficult to control.
